Diamond Villa RD2 Architecture

Předboj, Czech Republic

Villa RD2 was shaped by a strict 25% site-coverage limit and local height restrictions. The house stays low, extending across the plot as a single-storey volume beneath a flat roof.

The façade moves from a solid, private entrance end to full-height aluminium glazing at the living spaces and bedrooms. A deep asymmetrical canopy shades the south-facing glass in summer and gives RD2 its own character within the Diamond Villas series. RD1 uses a seamless glazed corner. RD2 takes a more controlled approach to the same architectural language.

Total area: 239.6 m² (216.5 m² house, 23.1 m² garage)
Type: Single-family house

Low profile. A single-storey house developed within the plot’s height and site-coverage restrictions.

Outdoor sequence. Active spaces face the sun; the rear garden remains quieter and shaded.

Two houses, two characters. RD1 and RD2 share a common planning logic, while the canopy and glazing give each house a separate identity.

Sun protection. Deep roof overhangs shade the south-facing glazing through the summer.

Material palette. Warm textured plaster, dark metal details and large aluminium-framed glass openings.
