While the exterior showcases the structural resilience of 3D printing, the interior design prioritises warmth, tactility, and acoustic comfort. The main challenge was to soften the industrial appearance of the printed concrete ribs and transform the technological shell into a peaceful family home.
Rather than concealing the unique ribbed texture of the walls, we chose to emphasise it through sophisticated lighting scenarios. Ambient light grazes these textured surfaces, creating an interplay of shadows and volumes that shifts throughout the day. To offset the cool tones of the concrete, we introduced a palette of warm, natural materials, including honey-coloured timber ceilings, soft modular furniture, and tactile terrazzo surfaces.
The interior creates a ‘cocoon’ effect. The social zone remains open and airy, connecting residents with forest views, while private rooms and spa-like bathrooms offer meditative retreats with softer acoustics and intimate lighting. It is a dialogue between rough technology and human comfort.
